The Aq’ab’al Women’s Association is made up of women – including young women, Indigenous women and women of mixed heritage – whose aim is to help create equal conditions for men and women in the exercise of human rights. This material marks a first step for Aq’ab’al and for a woman who has been suffering from violence for 10 years. We invite you to listen to a voice speaking from the experience of speaking out and to break the silence in the face of violence, because speaking out about violence and reporting it is a right.
